I broke the blue addiction!

So... "Someone" said I only buy blue! Well, here's a lovely black and white dress and some gorgeous wedges I got from Mango a while back, just to prove that I'm no longer addicted to blue tops and will happily buy stuff of any decent and matching colour for my wardrobe! Heehee!

Addicted to Blue Tops

Ok, I seem to have an addiction to blue tops from Mango. Got this at the sale together with the one below. This may be worse than my shopaholism. What if my entire wardrobe turns out blue?! Maybe I should work on this addiction first. Time to go out and buy stuff in other colours, Tara!

Lovely Blue Top from Mango

Here's a lovely blue top I got from Mango! Isn't it a gorgeous shade of blue? Oops, I shouldn't be shopping should I? But it's not my fault if they have a members sale!

What's a (Shopaholic) Girl to do?

This is silly. I'm blogging about my bad shopping habit and all I end up doing is surfing more online shopping sites. Can you imagine how tempting it is to click "buy"? There are just so many shopping sites out there, let alone blogs about shopping and social shopping-type services. Did that happen recently, or have I been asleep all this time?

Stylehive.com is basically a social network for online shoppers. You get to see each user's taste from the stuff they save, but I don't really see the point of the newsfeed, because all it ever says is "save product, add friend, save product, add friend..." Like it's trying to be Facebook or Friendster, but not.

I've been trying out Shoplette.com recently. (Got sent an invite. When it's shopping-related, I don't mind...) It's interesting! Posting stuff you bought in the real world (rather than online stores) can be quite gratifying when you're working through a shopping addiction. Seems like a different take on the social shopping thing.

Wishpot.com is fun for creating wishlists. You can create wishlists out of stuff from any other website, and the site tells you when stuff on your wishlist goes on sale - handy!

Polyvore.com is fascinating. It's not really a shopping site. It lets you create a picture out of stuff you can find (and buy) online, and some of the pictures are really beautiful.

Enough online temptation for one day, one I think.

Welcome to a bad habit

So I've started blogging. Hmm... To attempt to exorcise a bad shopping habit. Yeah right, like that's gonna work. I guess we'll see what the next few weeks will bring. I'm not really convinced it'll work, but my friend (personal shrink?) says it might help. Certainly doesn't help that I've been surfing some social shopping sites lately. But more on that later, perhaps.

So this is the obligatory first post. Let's see what tomorrow brings.
